Day 11: Exams and Free Time!

Friday, May 18th.

Another language pledge day! Many students experienced their first big exam today and in the morning, the stress was palatable. Nonetheless, we're lucky to say that most survived and were even able to work of some of their stress after, at a public workout station.

Here we see a couple of students turning to the exercise machines after lunch; many spent a good 15 minutes just trying to figure out how each machine worked.

The early afternoon could only get better as we happened to ran into a dog right after and were able to practice our words for "cute," "dog," and "puppy."

The rest afternoon was then free to spend as we pleased and so many took this opportunity to sleep, get a head start on homework, or watch a Chinese movie (as I and my roommate did). Hopefully, no one was out when we experienced our first Chengdu rainfall.

Our evening was also free for us to do as we pleased and a couple of us grabbed an ofo bike and discovered how beautiful the city was at night.

Thanks for reading!
